Peter A. Soukas, MD,
Peter A. Soukas, MD, is the director of the peripheral vascular interventional laboratory at The Miriam Hospital and specializes in carotid stenting and the treatment of lower extremity disease. He is also an associate professor of medicine in the department of medicine and director of the vascular and endovascular medicine fellowship program at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
He has been a site investigator on over 50 clinical research trials. Soukas received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts; completed his internship and residency at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and completed cardiology and peripheral vascular medicine fellowships at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts and an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the Society of Vascular Medicine, the Society of Coronary Angiography and Interventions, and the American College of Physicians. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, vascular medicine, and endovascular medicine, and is certified in noninvasive vascular lab interpretation.
