About
David Rawitscher, MD, FACC is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. He has extensive experience in diagnostic imaging and holds certifications from the National Board of Echocardiography and the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology. He currently serves as the medical director of the Congestive Heart Failure Center at The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano.
 
He also serves as medical director of nuclear cardiology at Legacy Heart Center. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Society. Dr. Rawitscher completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Chicago where he also went on to receive his fellowship in cardiology and serve as chief fellow of cardiology his final year of fellowship.
 
He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston where he served as class president during his fourth year of medicine . He graduated from Tulane University with a Bachelor of Arts in History.
